About the role: We are looking for a highly skilled Network Engineer with 5+ years of experience who thrives on solving complex network issues and wants to help drive our service delivery to the next level. The position is within our Stockholm-based Network team, part of Hybrid IT Services. This role plays a central part within the team and offers the opportunity to become a trusted network expert across the organization. We are looking for someone, who has a strong background in implementing and developing large-scale network solutions, a solid understanding of network infrastructure fundamentals, and a hands-on approach to network architecture and design. Proficiency in Swedish is a plus, while fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required. We are looking for: Extensive experience operating and troubleshooting enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Check Point), along with experience in Cisco, Cisco ISE, and HPE/Aruba troubleshooting, and a solid understanding of best-practice configurations. Deep understanding of routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP). In-depth knowledge of firewall architectures and technologies (Palo Alto, Juniper, Fortinet/FortiGate). Proficient in implementing VPN solutions (Site-to-Site and GlobalProtect). Skilled in performing packet captures, analyzing traffic flows, and interpreting logs. Proactive, analytical mindset with a strong focus on root-cause analysis. Solid understanding of automation, Ansible/Python, and Linux. Strong team player with excellent communication skills, capable of taking a lead role when needed, and able to remain calm under pressure. Bonus if you have: Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Op5, Cisco Catalyst Center, etc.). Familiarity with Linux networking tools (tcpdump, traceroute, iptables). Network/security certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, or CCSA/CCSE. In this role, you will: Play a key role in a high-availability environment where your expertise has direct impact.
