Job description

Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world! Responsibilities: Own the commercial relationship for assigned automotive OEM accounts, serving as the primary customer interface and building strong relationships across purchasing, engineering, program management, quality, manufacturing, and leadership. Develop and execute strategic account plans that protect existing business, identify new opportunities, expand profitable revenue, and anticipate rapidly evolving customer, technology, and market requirements. Lead RFQs, pricing strategies, commercial negotiations, cost-recovery activities, proposals, and contract discussions while balancing speed and customer responsiveness with profitability and commercial risk. Navigate fast-moving customer environments where sourcing decisions, program requirements, forecasts, timelines, and priorities can change rapidly, creating structure and driving action through ambiguity. Mobilize engineering, program management, operations, quality, supply chain, finance, and other functions to accelerate decisions, resolve customer escalations, manage risks, and deliver commitments. Support automotive programs across sourcing, development, launch, production, and ongoing commercial management, proactively addressing issues that could impact customer satisfaction, profitability, timing, or future business. Identify and pursue new-business and whitespace opportunities by understanding customer technology roadmaps, future vehicle programs, manufacturing strategies, sourcing direction, and emerging needs. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline. 5+ years of progressive automotive account management, technical sales, business development, or commercial experience supporting fast-paced customers such as EV manufacturers, automotive start-ups, high-growth OEMs, or traditional OEM programs operating with accelerated development and sourcing timelines. Demonstrated experience managing complex OEM relationships, including RFQs, pricing, negotiations, account profitability, commercial issues, and new-business development. Demonstrated ability to thrive in high-velocity environments with changing priorities, aggressive timelines, evolving requirements, limited information, and a high degree of individual ownership and accountability. Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence engineering, program management, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, finance, and executive stakeholders without direct authority. Experience with automotive program development and launch cycles, strong commercial and analytical capabilities, and the ability to travel approximately 25% to customer and company locations. Experience working within or directly supporting high-growth, technology-driven automotive organizations, with demonstrated success operating in fast-changing, entrepreneurial environments that demand speed, adaptability, individual ownership, and strong execution. ‎ ‎ The Freudenberg Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion.
