We Make Life More Rewarding and Dignified Location : ​Ballina​ Department : ​ The Supervisor Procurement, Direct is responsible for leading a team of Procurement Specialists who support manufacturing sites, supplier performance management, new product introductions, and operational procurement activities. This role ensures effective execution of sourcing strategies, supplier performance improvement, issue resolution, and cross-functional stakeholder support across all manufacturing locations. The Manager serves as the primary link between Category Management and Site Operations, ensuring strategic sourcing decisions are effectively implemented across the organization. The position reports to the Senior Manager Global Procurement and remains responsible for selected sourcing projects and supplier initiatives. Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop a team of Procurement Specialists. Assign resources and priorities across manufacturing sites and sourcing projects. Establish clear responsibilities and performance expectations Conduct performance reviews and development planning. Support succession planning and capability development. Foster collaboration across sites and functional teams. Operational Procurement Leadership Coordinate procurement support activities across all manufacturing locations. Ensure timely resolution of supply, quality, and supplier-related issues. Manage resource allocation during shortages, supply disruptions, and business-critical escalations. Ensure alignment of sourcing activities with category strategies. Supplier Performance Management Oversee supplier performance improvement initiatives. Support supplier corrective action plans and recovery efforts. Participate in supplier performance reviews. Escalate persistent supplier issues to Category Management and Senior Procurement Leadership. Project & NPI Support Oversee sourcing support for New Product Creation (NPC) projects. Coordinate supplier onboarding and qualification activities. Support supplier transfers, localization efforts, and dual-sourcing projects. Ensure procurement project milestones are achieved. Supply Continuity & Risk Management Coordinate operational response to supply disruptions. Lead mitigation efforts for site-level shortages and supplier performance issues Support business continuity planning and supplier recovery activities. Escalate significant risks as required. Stakeholder Management Serve as primary procurement contact for site leadership. Build strong relationships with Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams. Ensure procurement responsiveness to site requirements. Balance operational needs with strategic procurement objectives. Governance & Continuous Improvement Ensure compliance with procurement processes and policies. Support implementation of procurement excellence initiatives. Promote standardization across sites and regions. Drive continuous improvement in sourcing execution. Essential Functions of the Role**: Experience in sourcing, procurement, supplier management, supply chain, contract manufacturing, or operations. Experience working directly with suppliers in a manufacturing environment. Experience supporting RFQs, supplier negotiations, contract administration, and supplier onboarding activities. Strong analytical, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel. Experience working with contract manufacturers and supplier qualification processes. Knowledge of supplier quality systems, change management, product transfers, and commercialization activities. Experience with contract lifecycle management and supplier agreement administration. Professional certification such as CPSM, CPM, CSCP, or equivalent. Experience leading supplier performance improvement initiatives and supporting cross-functional sourcing project Work Experience Requirements 8-12 overall years of experience 2-4 years of leadership experience Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge People Leadership Coach and develop Procurement Specialists. Build functional expertise in supplier management and operational sourcing. Promote accountability and customer-focused service.
