Job description
Meet the TeamJoin a team of network engineering, infrastructure, software development, and quality assurance professionals responsible for building and maintaining advanced network lab environments. The team leverages Cisco Modeling Labs (CML), physical network hardware, and virtualized network platforms to emulate complex enterprise campus, branch, WAN, and Data Center architectures. Together, we enable software development, network automation, testing, and validation across enterprise and Data Center environments. Your ImpactDesign, deploy, and maintain robust hybrid network lab environments combining physical hardware and virtual network topologies using Cisco Modeling Labs (CML). Integrate, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco’s enterprise and Data Center portfolio, including Cisco SD-WAN (vManage/Catalyst SD-WAN Manager, vBond, vSmart, cEdge/vEdge routers), Catalyst campus and branch switches and routers, Nexus switches, MDS storage switches, and firewalls, alongside third-party devices and virtual network functions. Architect and simulate multi-tenant WAN, campus, branch, and Data Center fabrics incorporating transport-independent overlay networks, secure segmentation, application-aware routing, VXLAN/EVPN fabrics, and Data Center bridging and switching architectures. Collaborate with software engineering, infrastructure, and QA teams to support reproducible test scenarios, CI/CD pipelines, and network automation use cases. Optimise lab capacity, performance, resource allocation, and virtualisation nodes to ensure high availability, low-latency emulation, and efficient utilisation of testing topologies. Troubleshoot complex campus and branch wired and wireless networks, SD-WAN overlay/underlay connectivity, BGP and OSPF routing, Data Center switching fabrics, and virtualisation issues, ensuring timely resolution and comprehensive documentation. Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Networking, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Professional experience in network engineering, lab management, or infrastructure operations. (The required number of years should be specified.) Hands-on experience with Cisco Modeling Labs (CML) or similar network emulation and simulation platforms. Preferred QualificationsExperience with Cisco enterprise networking and Data Center technologies, including Catalyst switches and routers, Nexus switches, MDS storage switches, firewalls, and Cisco SD-WAN components. Hands-on experience with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF, SD-WAN overlay/underlay connectivity, network segmentation, VXLAN/EVPN, and Data Center bridging and switching. Experience designing and managing hybrid network labs comprising physical devices, virtual network topologies, and third-party network platforms. Familiarity with network automation, CI/CD pipelines, software testing, and validation workflows. Why Cisco?
