The Associate Designer is responsible for preparing drawings and schematics for engineering projects, works closely with design originators (e.g., engineers, designers) to resolve design details or discrepancies, or to prepare drawings of unusual, complex, or original designs, which require a high degree of precision using CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) or CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) equipment. May conduct feasibility studies. This position reports to the Engineering Manager, CAD & Configuration and is part of the Engineering team located in New Port Richey, Florida and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: The Associate Designer is responsible for the creation and revision of CAD models of components and assemblies. The creation and modification of associated manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation for production of new products. Sustainment of legacy products and support for manufacturing operations. The essential requirements of the job include: 3 years minimum CAD experience with 3D solid modeling and/or surfacing. Two-year degree in technical schooling for design/drafting or equivalent CAD training or equivalent experience. Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: Required Lifting Weight: 30 lbs. Position involves sitting for long periods of time, moving to various locations throughout the facility and observing various operations in the production of the product. Occasional travel may be required. undefined It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Experienced in spreadsheet analysis and 3-D solid modeling software applications (Catia V5 preferred).
