Must have skills : SAP Basis Administration, SAP UI5 Development Good to have skills : NA Minimum 7.5 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: Basis S/4 Conversion Senior Consultant Basis As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing and developing tailored software solutions that enhance various system components. The role requires continuous collaboration with different teams to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient applications. The engineer actively participates in refining software architecture and improving system performance, while adapting to evolving business requirements and utilizing agile methodologies to maintain project momentum and quality. Roles & Responsibilities: Lead and execute SAP ECC to S/4HANA technical conversion activities across Sandbox, Development, QA and Production environments. Plan and execute S/4HANA conversion using SUM/DMO, including preparation, preprocessing, migration, downtime and post-processing activities. Perform technical readiness assessment, prerequisite checks, Maintenance Planner activities and conversion planning. Execute SAP upgrades, Support Package upgrades, kernel upgrades, system migrations, system copies and refresh activities. Administer SAP HANA databases including monitoring, backup/recovery, troubleshooting, performance analysis and optimization. Troubleshoot technical issues during S/4HANA mock conversions and production cutover and drive issues to closure. Prepare technical cutover plans, runbooks, validation checklists, rollback considerations and post-conversion activities. Coordinate with Functional, ABAP, Security, Infrastructure, Database and Business teams for conversion activities. Support post-conversion activities involving RFCs, interfaces, background jobs, connectivity, certificates, transports and technical validation. Provide technical leadership, mentor junior Basis resources and drive technical problem resolution. Professional & Technical Skills: 1. Strong hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration and SAP S/4HANA system conversion. 2. Strong experience with SAP HANA database administration and troubleshooting. 3. Hands-on experience with SUM, DMO, Maintenance Planner, SWPM and SAP Host Agent. 4. Experience in ECC to S/4HANA conversion, SAP upgrades, migrations and system refreshes. 5. Good knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and scripting. 6. Experience with SAP Transport Management System and landscape administration. 7. Knowledge of RFC, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL certificates, SNC, SSO/SAML and SAP connectivity troubleshooting. 8. Experience with SAP HANA backup, recovery, performance monitoring and database troubleshooting. 9. Understanding of S/4HANA conversion prerequisites, simplification checks and technical post-conversion activities. 10. Knowledge of SAP Cloud Connector/BTP and cloud-hosted SAP environments would be an advantage. 11. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination skills, with effective documentation, planning, and presentation capabilities. 12. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills, with the ability to independently lead technical conversions and manage critical cutover activities under pressure, including after-hours support when required. 13. Demonstrates ownership and accountability for technical deliverables, with the ability to mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
