Job description
Ubisoft is a global leader in gaming with teams across the world creating original and memorable gaming experiences, from Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six to Just Dance and more. We believe diverse perspectives help both players and teams thrive. If you’re passionate about innovation and pushing entertainment boundaries, join our journey and help us create the unknown! The Franchise Growth Strategy Manager drives Vantage Studios' business development and franchise growth agenda across AC, R6 and FC. Reporting to the VP Commerce Strategy & Business Growth, the role frames growth opportunities, structures business cases, and acts as the franchises' trusted reference on deals, commercial policies and the platform ecosystem — across all platforms (HD/console, PC, mobile, cloud and emerging ecosystems). It is Vantage's single point of contact and orchestration for Core Services (SPBD, Global Sales) and Group functions on business development — a control tower and enabler, not an approval gateway. Key Responsibilities 1. Business Development Orchestration & Control Tower Provide Core Services with clear briefs on franchise priorities and strategy, timelines, and constraints so that SPBD and Sales can source and structure deals that are aligned from the start. Act as Vantage's main point of contact for Core Services and Group functions on incoming deals, partnership requests, platform-feature and infrastructure opportunities. Consolidate Vantage's position on each opportunity and prepare the decision for VP / franchise sign-off. Operate as a control tower: facilitate direct engagement/access between SPBD, Global Sales, relevant Group functions, and the appropriate Vantage franchise decision-makers; keep strategic visibility on active opportunities, flag blockages, and actively support SPBD in unblocking stalled deals ; report on deal performance (revenue, engagement, partner compliance) to Vantage leadership and franchise teams. Challenge and structure the value case of each deal (commercial assumptions, success KPIs, expected ROI logic), working hand-in-hand with Vantage Finance. 2. Deals, Policies & Platform Intelligence Be the franchises' go-to reference on business deals, commercial policies and the platform ecosystem: master the deal landscape, partner SLAs, parity rules and Group/Publishing commercial frameworks, and make them intelligible and actionable for AC, R6 and FC — connecting teams to the accountable owners (SPBD, Legal, Finance, Online Services) when needed. Maintain Vantage's strategic platform mapping and institutional knowledge base across the full platform spectrum — HD/console, PC, mobile, cloud, storefronts, subscriptions, payment and emerging platforms — capturing key relationships, franchise relevance, opportunities, contractual obligations, platform guidelines, business cases, past deals and business-development learnings so that platform evolutions are anticipated and translated into consistent, actionable guidance for the franchises over time Actively share business-development insights, platform intelligence and best practices with Vantage's internal teams — management, franchise, production and business stakeholders — turning market and partner knowledge into actionable guidance through briefings, playbooks and regular syncs. 3. Growth Strategy & Opportunity Framing Scan markets and player, platform, distribution, and business-model trends to identify potential growth themes, geographic opportunities, emerging channels, and internal or external white spaces relevant to Vantage franchises. Monitor relevant competitors and industry strategies to identify best practices. Translate identified white spaces into opportunity hypotheses and strategic questions for Vantage leadership, including the franchise rationale, market context, dependencies, risks, and potential routes to value. In collaboration with SPBD and Finance, develop internal strategic cases for Vantage leadership using market sizing, competitive benchmarking, scenario analysis, and high-level commercial assumptions. 4. Tencent Business Relationship & China Growth Own the day-to-day business relationship with Tencent (performance, deal development, execution) within FDI undertakings, shareholder-agreement constraints and ROFO obligations. Support the franchises' China & APAC strategy (offer, localization, go-to-market; pricing within approved frameworks), coordinating with Chinese Hubs and Tencent's K9 team. Monitor market, regulatory, platform, competitor, and player developments in China and Asia-Pacific, and translate them into implications for Vantage franchise strategy. Relevant Experience Strong experience in business development, strategic partnerships or commercial strategy, ideally in gaming, entertainment or tech. Track record of building business cases and driving new revenue streams. Strong knowledge of platform ecosystems (HD/console, PC, mobile, cloud) and partner/payment landscapes. Experience managing partner relationships in Asia-Pacific markets (China is a plus) Familiarity with commercial policies, deal governance and knowledge-management tools in a complex matrix organization. Key Competencies Strategic & Commercial Acumen — Identify, structure and evaluate growth opportunities with a strong strategic and financial lens. Cross-Functional Orchestration & Influence — Connect stakeholders and enable decisions without direct authority or unnecessary process layers. Business Case & Value-Case Structuring — Build evidence-based cases in partnership with Finance and SPBD. Deal, Policy & Platform Literacy — Advisory command of deals, commercial policies and platform ecosystems across HD, mobile and cloud (not rule-making). IP Business Storytelling — Craft compelling, partner-facing business narratives for Vantage's IPs. Cross-Cultural Business Fluency — Comfort across geographies and cultures, particularly China/APAC. Analytical Rigor & Executive Communication — Present concise, data-informed recommendations to senior stakeholders.
