Job Description Sr. Group Lead – GIS / Mapping Operations Job Level: L2 – B3 Location: Hyderabad, India Employment: Full-Time Shift: Flexible to work in a 24x7 environment Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Sr. Group Lead – GIS/Mapping Operations to lead large-scale operations and drive service delivery, customer experience, people management, and process excellence. The role requires strong leadership experience within the GIS/Mapping domain and the ability to manage Managers, Team Leaders, and a large analyst workforce. Key Responsibilities Lead the program and team to achieve operational goals and objectives. Manage daily operations for a large team of 250+ analysts . Provide functional support and direction to Managers and Team Leaders. Monitor performance of line Managers and provide regular coaching and guidance. Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans. Drive customer experience while optimizing operational costs. Contribute to short- and long-term strategic business goals. Focus on talent retention and employee satisfaction. Identify training requirements and support capability development. Coordinate with internal support functions and key stakeholders. Drive process improvement initiatives using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies. Ensure process-level compliance with applicable quality and operational standards. Required Skills & Experience Full-time Graduate. 12+ years of overall work experience preferred. 4–8+ years of Operations Management experience . Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience in the Mapping domain . Minimum 18 months of GIS (Geographical Information System) domain experience . Strong exposure to GIS / Mapping operations . Experience managing large-scale operations and teams. Strong knowledge of workforce management, quality tools, and operational processes. Strong analytical, logical, conflict-management, and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer-service orientation. Proficiency in MS Office / Microsoft 365 , particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Strong English communication and stakeholder-management skills. Willingness to work in rotational shifts / a 24x7 environment . Preferred Qualifications PMP / Lean Six Sigma certification . Experience with process compliance standards such as COPC and related quality frameworks. Experience leading large GIS/Mapping delivery programs.
