The Senior SAP BusinessObjects Consultant will provide Level 2 support for the customer's SAP BusinessObjects reporting landscape while contributing to report development, enhancement initiatives, analytics transformation programs, and project-driven changes. The role will support a global 24x7 AMS environment and work closely with BW, SAC, and business teams to deliver stable and effective reporting services. Key Responsibilities Operational Support Provide L2 support for SAP BusinessObjects reporting services. Resolve incidents, service requests, and report-related defects within agreed SLAs. Troubleshoot report failures, publication issues, scheduling failures, and report performance concerns. Support user access and security-related requests. Participate in shift handovers and major incident resolution activities. Escalate complex issues to L3 and L4 teams as required. Enhancement & Development Support Develop and modify Web Intelligence reports. Support Universe enhancements and metadata updates. Create and modify report scheduling, publications, and report bursting mechanisms. Support approved business enhancements and reporting improvements. Participate in report rationalization and optimization initiatives. Develop reusable reporting components and templates. Project & Change Activities Support new reporting requirements arising from business projects. Participate in requirements gathering, impact assessments, and solution design discussions. Prepare technical documentation and deployment artefacts. Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production deployments. Assist in reporting migrations and analytics transformation initiatives. Continuous Improvement Optimize report performance and scheduling efficiency. Improve report governance and documentation standards. Identify opportunities for automation and reporting simplification. Maintain SOPs, knowledge articles, and operational procedures. Support knowledge transfer and onboarding activities. Skill Requirements SAP BusinessObjects SAP BO Platform Administration Web Intelligence (WebI) Central Management Console (CMC) Publications and Scheduling User and Security Administration Universe Concepts and Metadata Structures Reporting & Analytics Report Design and Optimization Report Scheduling and Distribution Data Validation and Reconciliation Performance Troubleshooting Integration Knowledge SAP BW Reporting Integration Basic SAC Reporting Awareness Data Source Connectivity ITSM & AMS Incident Management Change Management Problem Management Service Request Fulfilment Root Cause Analysis Other Requirements Experience & Qualifications Typically 4-7 years of SAP BO experience. Experience in both production support and report development activities. Experience delivering reporting enhancements and project-related changes. Exposure to BW-integrated reporting environments.
