Job description

Change the way the world travels Join the GetYourGuide journey to connect people with unforgettable travel experiences around the world. Millions look to us for unique activities they can trust, and it’s all powered by our commitment to make every single journey extraordinary - including yours. Ready to unlock your potential with a community of fellow explorers? Find your next role at our Berlin HQ or one of our local offices around the globe, from New York to Bangkok. Head to  getyourguide.careers to take the first step. Team mission Business Operations & Strategy exists to drive GetYourGuide's growth by connecting the right experiences with the right travelers — at scale. We work across the full value chain, from supplier partnerships to traveler experience, ensuring that our marketplace remains the world's most trusted and comprehensive destination for unforgettable activities The Categories team takes a category-specific focus on the experiences that matter most to travelers. Our mission is to own and grow a portfolio of Entrance Ticket categories — spanning both established and emerging segments — with a singular vision: to curate the world's most exceptional customer experience and inventory at the most visited attractions in the world, such as Disneyland, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, and Broadway. These locations behave differently from other destinations and require customised, cross-functional strategies to unlock their full potential. Your mission • Own the strategy, roadmap, and performance of one or more categories, setting clear goals, milestones, and success metrics. • Build an in-depth understanding of the industry and craft our value proposition to suppliers and travelers. • Assess and prioritise sub-categories and opportunities based on market research, traveler demand, and financial opportunity. • Develop and execute the go-to-market approach for new and emerging segments, from launch to scale. • Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and other teams to ensure seamless and successful launches. • Run data analyses to identify and act on growth opportunities, and share findings with senior stakeholders (Directors, VPs, and C-level executives). • Report progress regularly to the Head of Categories and key stakeholders, including the Executive team, driving buy-in and resource allocation. • Contribute to team playbooks and ways of working, and share learnings across categories. Your toolkit • 6+ years of experience in Business Development, Strategy, Marketing, or Consulting in a fast-paced environment — ideally at a marketplace or SaaS company, a large tech company (>€1 billion annual revenue), a start-up, or a top-tier strategy consultancy (McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, or Bain & Company). • Entrepreneurial, commercially sharp, and willing to get your hands dirty — with a bold, test-and-learn mindset. • A strategic thinker who breaks complex problems into clear, actionable plans. • A sharp analytical thinker who builds conviction with data, using tools like Excel, Looker, and external market datasets. • Thrives in ambiguity: takes the lead without needing detailed instructions and brings structure to complex, cross-functional problems. • A skilled project manager and influencer, able to align stakeholders across functions and seniority levels and drive engagement and efficiency. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Extras that give you an edge • Experience working with or influencing Marketing and/or Product functions. • Experience in Ticketed Categories (Live Events, Theme Parks, Viewing Towers, Museums, and Historical Sites). • Additional languages are a plus. • Proven track record of launching or growing a category or business unit. How we’ll make your career journey extraordinary • Annual personal growth budget and mentorship programs for continuous learning and development • Work from anywhere in the world for 30 days per year • A hybrid working approach
