VSWs, schedules, estimates, and budgets are already part of the Muskogee project role. Apply sound engineering principles and technical analysis to troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues, evaluate failure modes, identify root causes, and develop sustainable solutions that improve equipment reliability and maintainability. Evaluate mechanical equipment and technology options, vendor proposals, engineering alternatives, and contractor strategies using economic thinking to identify solutions that create long-term value. Develop equipment specifications and participate in equipment selection, vendor evaluations, bid reviews, design reviews, and procurement activities. Review and coordinate engineering drawings, equipment specifications, vendor designs, and other technical deliverables to ensure solutions meet project requirements and applicable standards. Provide field engineering and construction support, working with contractors, maintenance teams, operations, and vendors to resolve technical issues during installation and execution. Support equipment checkout, commissioning, startup, and performance verification while ensuring appropriate project documentation and turnover to Operations and Maintenance. Design safety, reliability, maintainability, and environmental stewardship into engineering solutions and projects while supporting compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. Manage assigned project scope, schedules, budgets, spending forecasts, procurement activities, and change management to deliver projects safely and effectively. Support the development and execution of mill capital plans by identifying opportunities to improve asset performance, eliminate recurring equipment problems, reduce operating costs, and strengthen the mill's mechanical capabilities. Share technical knowledge and help develop the capabilities of engineers, technicians, maintenance personnel, operations partners, and other team members through collaborative problem solving and technical coaching. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Experience supporting, developing, or executing mechanical engineering projects in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment.
