The Role As Senior Manager, Pre-Sales you support complex software sales cycles by delivering compelling product demonstrations, responding to technical and functional requirements, and building reusable pre-sales assets. You combine solid product knowledge with strong client-facing skills to accelerate pipeline conversion — working across direct client engagements, partner-supported opportunities and industry events. What You Will Do: Pre-sales support and solution delivery Support the end-to-end pre-sales process for assigned opportunities: discovery, demos, RFP responses, solution scoping and proposal preparation. Deliver tailored product demonstrations to mid-level and senior client stakeholders, translating features into business value. Facilitate client workshops to identify requirements, validate fit and shape the solution approach. Prepare written responses to RFPs, RFIs and security questionnaires in coordination with product, legal and delivery teams. Support proof-of-concept engagements; document outcomes and feed learnings back into the pre-sales playbook. Partner and event support Support channel and technology partners in pre-sales engagements: provide product demonstrations and technical guidance, build their confidence in positioning the solution, and assist on partner-led opportunities when additional pre-sales depth is required. Support the business at industry events and trade shows: deliver product demonstrations for event audiences, engage prospects and clients on-site with relevant use cases, and document leads and follow-up actions promptly after each event. Asset development and enablement Develop and maintain reusable pre-sales materials: demo scripts, solution blueprints, proposal modules, competitive battle cards and ROI templates. Stay current on product updates, competitive landscape and industry trends; share insights with the broader sales team. Contribute to the onboarding of new team members on product and solution knowledge. Collaboration and reporting Work closely with the sales lead and AD Pre-Sales to align on opportunity strategy and solution approach. Maintain accurate records of pre-sales activities and solution configurations; support pipeline reporting as required. Participate in win/loss reviews and apply learnings to improve proposal quality and demo effectiveness. PRODUCT AND INDUSTRY FIT Deep knowledge of ALIP's functional architecture: policy lifecycle management, product configuration engine, rules-based processing, reinsurance, financial accounting and regulatory reporting modules. Ability to demonstrate ALIP end-to-end across a core scenario — new business submission, policy issue, mid-term adjustment, claim and annuity payout — tailored to the prospect's product portfolio. Understanding of life and annuity product complexity: variable products, unit-linked funds, guaranteed benefit riders, with-profits smoothing and how ALIP's product factory handles each. Ability to design and present a solution architecture for an ALIP implementation, including integration with distribution systems, actuarial tools, general ledger, document management and customer portals. Experience engaging technical and actuarial buyers: CTO, Head of IT, Chief Actuary, Head of Product Development — able to run deep-dive workshops on data model, calculation engine and migration approach. Familiarity with data migration strategy for legacy policy portfolios: extraction patterns, data quality remediation, parallel run validation and cut-over planning. Understanding of IFRS 17 and Solvency II reporting requirements and how ALIP's financial engine supports compliant reporting without manual adjustment. Ability to configure and demo ALIP's agentic workflow capabilities: automated underwriting rules, straight-through processing for standard cases and exception routing for complex cases. Familiarity with cloud deployment patterns for ALIP on Azure and AWS, including multi-tenancy, disaster recovery, data residency and performance benchmarks for large policy books. Experience scoping and running proof-of-concept engagements for core system replacements: defining the representative policy set, configuring the test environment and presenting results to an actuary-led evaluation panel. Travel may be required for role - 0-80% depending on client and business needs Here's What You Need: Minimum 8+ years of pre-sales, solution consulting or technical sales support experience in enterprise software including a track record of contributing to complex sales opportunities, including RFP responses and solution demonstrations. Minimum 12 months of demonstrated experience supporting pre-sales for AI-native software products — solutions built on LLMs, agentic workflows or machine learning platforms — with evidence of demos delivered or RFP contributions. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience) Professional Skills: Experience presenting technical solutions to mid-level and C-suite stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to produce high-quality proposal content under time pressure.
