ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD. At AMD, we believe technology has the power to solve the world’s most important challenges. From advancing healthcare and scientific discovery to powering AI and the technologies people rely on every day, innovation at AMD is shaping the future. Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or bringing leading edge products to market, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward. Join us and, together, we’ll advance your career. THE ROLE: AMD is seeking a Business Analyst with an engineering background to support the Memory Business Unit, a dynamic organization responsible for managing critical technical commodities across the company. This role requires a combination of technical understanding, business analytics, and planning expertise to translate memory requirements, GPU product forecasts, and supply constraints into actionable business plans. You will serve as the primary analyst and planner for the business, partnering with Engineering, Business Unit teams, Finance, Global Operations, Sales Operations, and Sales to develop demand forecasts, support revenue attainment, and drive monthly and long-range business planning. THE PERSON: You bring an engineering foundation and the ability to connect technical product requirements with business and supply planning decisions. You can work effectively with engineering teams, understand product configurations and dependencies, and assess how technical changes affect memory demand, supply requirements, and revenue forecasts. You are analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to transform complex datasets into clear insights and actionable recommendations. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, balance competing priorities, and demonstrate accuracy and accountability. You are a proactive communicator who can bridge technical and business discussions, anticipate risks, and help teams make informed decisions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop the Monthly Operations Forecast (MOF) and Long-Range Plan (LRP) for the Memory Business Unit, incorporating technical product requirements, demand forecasts, and supply availability. • Partner with Engineering and Business Unit teams to understand memory requirements, product configurations, qualification timelines, and product transitions, translating these inputs into planning assumptions. • Manage demand planning, forecast accuracy, reporting, order scheduling, and weekly allocation recommendations aligned with GPU sell-in forecasts and business guidelines. • Partner with Finance, Sales, Sales Operations, and Global Operations to develop business plans that support critical financial objectives. • Evaluate the impact of new product introductions, engineering changes, supply constraints, customer requirements, and changing market conditions on planning forecasts. • Build and continuously improve models supporting revenue forecasting, business analytics, market analysis, and demand-versus-supply planning. • Refresh, consolidate, and validate recurring business reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery. • Monitor business performance, investigate technical and commercial drivers of forecast variances, and recommend actions to address demand or supply gaps. • Support quarter-end close activities, including variance analysis of quarter-to-date billings and backlog against sales forecasts. • Perform risk assessments that account for product readiness, technical dependencies, and supply availability to support revenue attainment. • Collaborate cross-functionally to increase adoption and effective use of internal sales, planning, and analytics tools, including Power BI, Model N, data cubes, and Salesforce. • Proactively investigate and resolve ad hoc business, reporting, and planning issues using structured problem-solving methods. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: • Engineering background, with demonstrated ability to understand technical product requirements and apply that knowledge to business analysis, forecasting, or supply planning. • Experience in semiconductor, memory, GPU, or related hardware environments, with an understanding of product development, qualification, and production lifecycles. • Ability to interpret engineering inputs and translate product configurations, technical dependencies, and roadmap changes into demand and supply planning assumptions. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. • Experience developing business, market, demand, or revenue forecasting models using complex and varied data sources. • Strong critical-thinking skills and an understanding of business planning, risk management, and supply-and-demand dynamics. • Demonstrated commitment to data accuracy, accountability, and high-quality reporting. • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with engineering, finance, sales, and operations teams. • Self-starter with strong business acumen, initiative, and a solutions-oriented approach. • Experience with SAP, Power BI, Salesforce, VBA, Model N, data cubes, or similar business analysis and reporting tools is a plus. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. An engineering background or demonstrated technical experience with semiconductor, memory, GPU, or related hardware products is strongly preferred. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. #LI-CJ2 Benefits offered are described:  AMD benefits at a glance .
