Job Description: Microchip has an opportunity for Senior Manager-Supply Chain in the Supplier Operations department. This position will lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals across multiple manufacturing sites in the US to supply essential goods and services for critical operations. Essential Functions Plan, direct, and coordinate purchasing activities for materials, products, and services. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements, including ITAR. Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes to increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance cost savings. Manage suppliers and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely purchase order placement, order maintenance, and resolution of supplier related issues. Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships that ensure reliable delivery, competitive pricing, and long-term partnership value. Monitor supplier performance through key metrics including on-time delivery, quality defect rates, and responsiveness. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements Ensure that purchased materials and services conform to or meet the specified requirements. Collaborate with finance, operations, engineering, planning, quality, and other departments to align procurement with organizational needs Participate in and lead department audits. Develop, monitor and measure annual and quarterly goals for the team. This position has the authority and responsibility for obligating Microchip Technology via purchase order and contract commitments. Requirements/Qualifications: Requirements/Qualifications: Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline 5+ years of supply chain management job experience 5+ years of manager or supervisor experience Proficient with MS Office products; Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint Strong organizational, documentation, and writing skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong presentation skills Able to contribute as a reliable and effective team member with minimal supervision Able to coordinate multiple facets of the operation Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, Supply Chain or Supply Management Strong familiarity with ERP/procurement systems and AI‑assisted sourcing tools Strong familiarity with Defense and Aerospace procurement Analytical skills for spend analysis, forecasting, and risk assessment Critical Physical Requirements Sit 80%; stand 10%, walk 10%; must be able to perform activities that include hearing, talking, seeing.
