Your Role As a Senior Data Operations Engineer at Capgemini , you will be responsible for the operational excellence, reliability, and continuous improvement of enterprise data platforms built on Snowflake and cloud technologies. You will play a critical role in supporting production environments, deployments, governance initiatives, automation programs, and platform optimization efforts. You will work closely with Data Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Governance, and Business teams to ensure platform stability, operational efficiency, and the successful delivery of business-critical data services. This role requires a strong ownership mindset, technical expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Responsibilities & Scope Data Platform Operations Administer and support Snowflake environments across: Production Quality Assurance (QA) Development Disaster Recovery (DR) Manage platform configurations, operational processes, and environment health. Ensure platform availability, scalability, reliability, and performance. Support mission-critical business operations that rely on enterprise data platforms. Snowflake Administration Manage: User provisioning and deprovisioning Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) Service accounts Databases Schemas Warehouses Security configurations Implement and maintain governance, access controls, and platform standards. Support security reviews, audits, compliance initiatives, and access certifications. Production Support & Release Management Execute and support deployments across: Snowflake dbt Matillion Streamlit Control-M Related platform technologies Participate in incident, change, release, and problem management activities. Troubleshoot platform issues and perform root cause analysis. Drive issues through resolution while minimizing business impact. Support ServiceNow requests, operational tickets, and platform changes. Automation & Engineering Excellence Develop and maintain automation solutions using: Python SQL APIs GitHub Improve operational processes through automation and self-service capabilities. Support CI/CD and DevOps initiatives for data platform operations. Contribute to platform standardization and operational maturity programs. Monitoring & Reliability Engineering Monitor platform: Performance Usage Storage Cost optimization Capacity Operational health Implement proactive monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting processes. Support observability and reliability initiatives across the data platform ecosystem. Identify and implement improvements that enhance platform reliability and customer experience. Governance & Documentation Maintain: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Runbooks Knowledge Base Articles Technical Documentation Support governance, compliance, audit, and operational readiness initiatives. Ensure adherence to enterprise security, data governance, and operational standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Data Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Governance, and Business teams. Support strategic initiatives and platform enhancements. Provide technical guidance and operational expertise across projects and support activities. Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence programs.
