Job description

Make your mark for patients We are looking for a Global Medical Lead - Derma who is strategic, collaborative and scientifically curious to join our Medical Immunology team. The role has a global scope, and the role will be based in either Brussels, Belgium; or Slough and then, as from April 2027, in Windlesham, United Kingdom. Other locations in the European region may be considered case by case. About the role You will provide strategic global medical and scientific leadership across Dermatology, with a particular focus on hidradenitis suppurativa. As a trusted subject-matter expert, you will set strategic direction, influence across a complex global matrix and translate evolving science and clinical evidence into meaningful value for patients, healthcare professionals and the organization. Who you’ll work with You will be working in a global, cross-functional team spanning Medical Affairs, scientific communications, discovery, research and clinical development, as applicable. You will partner with regional and local medical teams and build trusted scientific relationships with thought leaders, scientific societies, investigators and healthcare professionals. What you’ll do • Shape and lead execution of the global medical strategy for hidradenitis suppurativa, translating science into value and delivering aligned medical priorities. • Bring deep disease, treatment and asset expertise to cross-functional teams, identifying care gaps and translating scientific insights into strategic actions. • Provide visible medical leadership across a global matrix, influencing senior and cross-functional stakeholders without formal authority. • Lead accurate, consistent scientific communication and contribute to plans that share clinical evidence through publications, medical meetings and scientific channels. • Integrate insights from healthcare professionals, thought leaders, regional teams and countries to inform global strategy and evolving evidence needs. • Lead research collaborations and evidence-generation work, partnering across research and clinical development where relevant to support asset and disease-area priorities. • Build trusted external partnerships and guide regional and local medical teams, maintaining scientific rigor, medical quality, integrity and compliance. Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills • Medical degree and/or doctoral degree in life sciences, with deep expertise in Dermatology and strong knowledge of the treatment landscape. Experience in hidradenitis suppurativa is highly valued but not essential where broader Dermatology expertise is strong. • Extensive pharmaceutical Medical Affairs experience, ideally spanning regional and/or global roles, with demonstrated ownership of medical strategy development and implementation. • Strong ability to analyze complex scientific and clinical evidence, identify insights and translate them into clear, actionable medical strategy. • Confident and credible leadership presence, with the ability to constructively challenge, influence decision-making and navigate complex discussions with senior stakeholders. • Proven cross-functional collaboration and partnership skills, with experience building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, investigators, thought leaders and scientific societies. • Clear scientific communication skills, with the ability to make complex information accessible and relevant for different audiences. • Digitally and AI literate, and curious, able to work effectively in evolving environments and use emerging technologies to strengthen insight and evidence generation.
