As Regional Program Lead, you will serve as the single, authoritative voice of Japan within a global program team, driving strategic alignment, accelerating decision-making, and ensuring flawless execution across a complex, cross-functional matrix. You will lead the Japan Program Team, partner closely with global program leadership, and represent Japan at senior governance forums, translating global strategy into local action while channeling local insights back to the global stage. This is a role for a results-driven program management professional who thrives in ambiguity, influences without authority, and is energized by the challenge of advancing innovative medicines in a highly collaborative, international environment. Who You Are You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences or a discipline related to drug development, or equivalent professional experience. You bring 5 or more years of experience in drug development within the global pharmaceutical industry, including at least 3 years in a program or project management capacity. You have a strong track record of leading cross-functional teams in a global matrix environment, influencing stakeholders at all levels without direct authority. You demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Japanese is an advantage in this Japan-based role. You are proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint, and you are comfortable working with generative AI tools to enhance productivity and decision-making. You understand how to apply artificial intelligence concepts in a professional context, including its practical applications, limitations, and ethical considerations such as bias, fairness, and data privacy. A professional project management certification such as PMI or IPMA is preferred. You bring a collaborative, outcome-oriented mindset with the drive to deliver results and the potential to grow into broader leadership responsibilities.
