Join us and be part of this journey towards greater opportunities and brighter futures.Senior Frontend Technical Lead — React & Integrations Location preference: Denver, CO (Open for Remote) Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Web Developer – React / Node.js to take ownership of web application architecture, hands-on development, and technical delivery for a high-impact web team. This is a hands-on coding role requiring deep expertise in React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Express, along with the ability to guide developers, make sound architecture decisions, and deliver scalable, production-grade web applications. In this role, you will lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancement of web applications integrated with restaurant technology ecosystems, while partnering closely with clients, product teams, IT leadership, marketing, and engineering teams. Responsibilities Lead the architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancement of scalable web applications. Own and drive the overall web application architecture, frontend strategy, and technical roadmap. Actively code features and user stories, review code, resolve defects, and provide hands-on support throughout delivery. Develop and maintain multiple pages and application experiences using React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and Express. Design scalable React applications using modern frontend architecture principles, including headless architecture, atomic design, state management, API integration, error handling, and performance optimization. Integrate web applications with restaurant technology ecosystems, including: Online ordering platforms POS systems Payment providers Loyalty and rewards platforms Customer identity and authentication solutions Location services Push notifications Promotions and offers Analytics and customer engagement platforms Apply end-to-end solution thinking to ensure frontend decisions support backend services, databases, reporting, accounting, and downstream business processes. Lead third-party integrations involving POS platforms, payment systems, commerce platforms, and other business-critical external systems. Identify technical gaps, challenge assumptions, guide developers, review designs and code, and make decisions based on the complete solution. Assess delivery risks, manage technical dependencies, coordinate testing, and prepare applications for production releases. Partner effectively with IT Directors, Product Management, Marketing, and development team members to plan roadmaps and deliver solutions. Establish and promote coding standards, development best practices, architecture patterns, documentation practices, and technical guidelines. Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code with a focus on consistency and long-term maintainability. Troubleshoot, debug, upgrade, and optimize existing applications. Ensure application performance, quality, responsiveness, availability, and customer experience. Monitor application performance, crashes, availability, and customer experience metrics using tools such as DataDog, Splunk, App Insights, New Relic, or similar platforms. Support CI/CD practices and contribute to efficient release processes. Develop and maintain unit testing frameworks and quality practices. Apply knowledge of application security and networking to build reliable, secure solutions. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and modern engineering practices to support continuous innovation. Bring a consulting mindset, strong client communication, and effective presentation skills to technical discussions and delivery engagements. Qualifications 10+ years of professional software or web development experience, including significant experience building production-grade web applications. 5+ years of recent hands-on coding experience with React.js; coding assessment will be conducted. 5+ years of hands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript. 4+ years in a Lead Web Developer, Tech Lead, or similar technical leadership role. 3+ years of experience with Node.js and Express. 3+ years of experience leading and mentoring Developers and Senior Developers. 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure. Strong hands-on experience creating and maintaining multi-page applications in React.js. Full stack familiarity, including backend technologies such as Node.js and related services. Strong experience with HTML5, CSS, and CSS preprocessors such as LESS and SASS. Advanced knowledge of command line build utilities and task runners such as npm, webpack, grunt, and gulp. Advanced knowledge of accessibility standards. Real-time working experience with asynchronous requests, API integrations, partial page updates, SEO optimization, SSR, and page performance troubleshooting and optimization. Expert-level understanding of version control systems, including Git. Proven experience with CI/CD practices. Track record developing unit testing frameworks. Competency in application security and networking. Familiarity with Azure Cloud Functions. Experience working in Agile teams and planning technical roadmaps. Ability to assess risks, manage dependencies, coordinate testing, and support successful production releases. Strong documentation discipline, commitment to consistency and reusability, and the ability to see the big picture. Strong consulting, client communication, and presentation skills. Practical judgment, attention to scope management, and a collaborative approach to solving delivery challenges. Experience integrating restaurant POS platforms is a plus. Experience in restaurant technology, retail, hospitality, or e-commerce is a plus. The base salary for this position is $106,087 to $140,000 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
