Job Summary We are currently seeking a Global Digital Transformation Project Assurance Intern from June 2027 – May 2028. This position works for approximately 37.5 hours per week in the summer and 20 hours per week for the remainder of the internship. Project Assurance serves an essential management role in empowering DX and the business to achieve excellence through dynamic, transparent, data-driven and value-centric Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Project Management (PM), and IT Governance practices. In order to support the growth of the organization, this graduate level intern position will contribute to the creation and evolution of the processes and systems used to manage projects and portfolios in DS as well as contribute to various DX projects. They will be accountable for (1) contributing to the strategy and operations of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) systems (2) evolving PM processes and toolkits, and (3) serving as a a Project Manager or key team member for DX projects. Responsibilities Project Portfolio Management (PPM) – System Strategy & Operations Assist in developing and executing PPM system strategy, including system configuration, enhancements, and process improvements. Research and implement AI tools to automate operational activities, improve portfolio data quality, and streamline processes. Establish operational best practices to ensure accurate project information and support data-driven decision-making. Manage onboarding of new projects and teams onto PPM systems. Develop and maintain PPM training materials and support global and regional project/portfolio decision-making processes. Project Management Framework & Process Evolution Support the evolution of PMO methodologies, processes, and best practices to improve program and project execution. Help define key performance metrics to measure program outcomes. Maintain and enhance the PMO toolkit, including project templates. Identify and implement AI solutions to streamline project management processes. Project Manager – Cross-Functional DX Projects Lead planning, coordination, implementation, and financial management of assigned business and technology initiatives throughout the project lifecycle. Partner with business, DX/IT stakeholders, and vendors to deliver projects within established timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Develop and maintain project management deliverables, including charters, project plans, budgets, communications, status reports, dashboards, risk/issue logs, and action plans. Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and manage issues to support successful project delivery. Communicate project progress and key updates to governance groups, including executive sponsors and steering committees, and other stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with project leaders and cross-functional team members. Qualifications Experience Demonstrated experience applying AI tools and techniques to Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Project Management (PM) use cases. Experience managing projects in professional or academic settings using Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies. Experience leading diverse, virtual project teams, developing project plans, and preparing project communications. Ability to facilitate project meetings and ensure effective follow-through. Experience collaborating across diverse cultures and communication styles. Experience in Business Analysis and/or Business Process Engineering. Experience in a global corporate environment; life sciences experience preferred. Preferred Skills & Attributes Self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently. Understanding of business analysis and process improvement. Strong financial skills, including business case development and budget management. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn enterprise systems. Education Requirements Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited MBA, Master's in Technology Management, Master's in Information Systems, or similar graduate-level management program.
