Your role As a Principal Agentic AI Solution Designer, you will design multi-agent systems that run real business processes and remain governable in production. You will turn agentic blueprints into working systems where agents plan, call enterprise APIs, draw on data pipelines and reasoning models, and improve through feedback. You will own the target architecture for the organization’s agentic ecosystem and be accountable for its reliability, cost, and business outcomes. As the practice matures, the role will extend to authoring the modular blueprints that delivery teams build from. Your tasks Set the architectural direction for agentic solutions across the enterprise, including approved multi-agent patterns, operating models, and standards. Define how agent components work together across shared data, memory, feedback, observability, identity, and control mechanisms. Partner with business owners to identify and prioritize agent use cases, assess value and risk, and shape the business case. Apply data-driven design and machine learning techniques so agents can improve from outcomes and feedback. Embed evaluation, testing, Responsible AI, security, and governance controls into the architecture from the start. Assess models, frameworks, platforms, and vendors, and make evidence-based build-or-buy decisions. Keep the architecture resilient and aligned with business strategy as models, platforms, regulations, and organizational needs evolve. Coach architects and engineers in delivery teams and provide actionable architectural guidance. Participate in the Design Authority for agentic solutions and lead wider senior architecture forums. Your profile Experience as a solution or enterprise architect who has taken AI or machine learning systems into production at enterprise scale. Working knowledge of agentic design, including multi-agent orchestration, planning, tool use, memory, and human-in-the-loop approval. Hands-on experience with at least one agent framework, such as Microsoft Agent Framework, Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, or CrewAI, plus Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agent-to-agent (A2A) communication. Experience with LLM application patterns, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), context engineering, structured outputs, model selection, and routing. Experience designing knowledge and memory stores for agents, such as vector databases, search indexes, and knowledge graphs. Experience making AI systems observable through tracing, cost and latency tracking, drift detection, and continuous evaluation. Experience securing agents through scoped identities, least-privilege tool access, and protection of sensitive data in prompts, memory, and logs. Enterprise integration experience covering REST and event-driven APIs, identity and access management, and integration with ERP, CRM, and ITSM platforms. Knowledge of AI governance, Responsible AI, and regulation such as the EU AI Act, with experience translating policy into architectural controls. Nice to have Experience building reusable agentic blueprints, reference architectures, or a shared agent platform used by multiple delivery teams. Familiarity with AI red-teaming, guardrails, and AI-specific threats such as prompt injection and data exfiltration. Experience fine-tuning models or deploying small language models where cost, latency, or data residency requirements rule out a large hosted model. Consulting or client-facing architecture experience, including shaping solutions during pre-sales. A public profile in the field, such as conference talks, publications, open-source contributions, or patents. Certifications such as TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or an equivalent cloud AI certification.
