Job description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. ABOUT THE JOB We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our rapidly growing Air Dominance and Strike  team in Costa Mesa, CA . In this role, your primary focus will be full-lifecycle PCB design from concept and schematic capture through board bring-up, test, and debug. In this role you'll also be supporting subsystem cable harnessing, hardware integration, and flight-test operations. If you are a hands-on electrical generalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and mission-critical flight hardware, we are looking for you. WHAT YOU WILL DO • Full cycle PCB design (primary day-to-day focus) including collecting requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, test, debug, and system integration • Conduct bring-up and design work on microcontrollers and microprocessors, ensuring seamless integration within the system • Perform power design, including the development, simulation, and integration of discrete power supplies, DC-DC converters, and power management systems • Troubleshoot issues that span electrical and software boundaries, utilizing lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, logic/spectrum analyzers, electronic loads) and basic software/firmware debugging tools • Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, deployments, and customer operated flight hardware • Develop payloads and subsystems (sensors, payload interfaces, power management, and networking) • Create system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses and pinouts that connect electronic equipment within a subsystem • Support environmental qualification (vibration, thermal) and flight-test operations • Collaborate closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional, mission-critical products • Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex system designs • Active, hands-on PCB design experience within the last 5 years (schematic capture, layout execution/supervision, and physical board bring-up in the lab) • Experience with modern ECAD/EDA design tools (Altium Designer preferred, but open to Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, Mentor Graphics, etc.) • Solid foundation in power system design, power loading analysis, and power management systems (DC-DC conversion, transient protection, and power distribution) • High competence using lab test equipment (benchtop power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, DMM, logic/spectrum analyzers, etc.) and basic board-level rework/soldering tools <li class=&
