Job DescriptionJob Responsibilities: * Define and implement image quality requirements and metrics for new and existing medical CT systems. * Conduct advanced image quality analysis, including objective and subjective evaluations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. * Develop and validate image processing algorithms and reconstruction techniques to enhance image fidelity, resolution, and contrast. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including System, SW, HW, clinical applications, and regulatory affairs to integrate image quality considerations throughout the product lifecycle. * Design and execute experiments to characterize system performance and identify root causes of image quality issues. * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers on image quality principles and methodologies. * Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape in medical imaging and image quality. * Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, patents, and scientific publications. * Support clinical trials and product launches by ensuring image quality meets specifications and clinical needs. Job Qualifications: * Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. * 8+ years of experience in medical imaging, with a strong focus on image quality assessment, processing, and optimization. * Proven expertise in at medical CT imaging modality. * In-depth knowledge of image acquisition physics, signal processing, and reconstruction algorithms. * Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++, or similar for image analysis and algorithm development. * Experience with image quality standards and metrics (e.g., MTF, CNR, SNR, spatial resolution). * Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor team members. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed organization. * Fluency in English (written and spoken).
