A Day in the LifeThis role sits within the Manufacturing Engineering function supporting medical device production operations in Singapore. The team is responsible for developing, qualifying, and sustaining manufacturing processes that enable consistent product quality, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Manufacturing Engineering partners closely with Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Research & Development, and external suppliers to advance process capability, production readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site. This position is based in Singapore and follows an onsite work arrangement to support manufacturing operations, equipment, and process activities. As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will contribute to the development, qualification, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes that support production performance, product quality, and operational scalability. The role involves leading qualification activities, driving process enhancements, applying statistical tools to improve process capability, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve manufacturing challenges and strengthen site capabilities. Primary Responsibilities Lead manufacturing process qualification, validation, and verification activities to support production readiness and process sustainability. Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve product quality, throughput, cost efficiency, and operational performance. Analyze process performance using Statistical Process Control (SPC), process capability studies, and data-driven problem-solving methods. Drive investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for manufacturing, equipment, and process-related issues. Partner with Quality, Supply Chain, Research & Development, Operations, and suppliers to execute qualification and process improvement initiatives. Support implementation and enhancement of manufacturing technologies, including inspection systems, automation solutions, and machine vision applications. Create and maintain engineering documentation, protocols, reports, procedures, and technical records in accordance with quality and regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities for process standardization, risk reduction, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process qualification, process validation, or production support within a regulated industry; or Master's degree with 0+ years of experience. Experience executing process validation, verification, qualification, or manufacturing process development activities. Experience applying Statistical Process Control (SPC), process capability analysis, or statistical methods to manufacturing processes. Experience working cross-functionally with Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or external suppliers to support manufacturing objectives. Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements applicable to manufacturing environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated manufacturing industry. Experience with machine vision systems, automated inspection technologies, or manufacturing automation projects. Experience supporting supplier qualification, equipment qualification, or process transfer activities. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or structured problem-solving approaches. Experience driving process standardization, manufacturing efficiency improvements, or cost reduction initiatives.
