Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your working student position is located at Rüschpark in Finkenwerder and you can take the ferry from Teufelsbrück to Rüschpark and back to the university. Alternatively, you can take the ferry from the city center to Finkenwerder and then ride your bike for about 5 minutes to us. You will have the opportunity to work with coating technologies, material and electrochemical characterization techniques: Tailoring the oxide based ceramic slurry Coating techniques Analyzing the morphology and electrical properties of metals and cermets (metal and ceramic composites) Desired skills and qualificationsEnrolled student (d/f/m) within chemistry or similar field of study Experience in working in chemistry lab, especially handling materials & characterization techniques Knowledge on ceramic, polymer, metal materials and electrochemistry Skills in slurry optimization, thin film coating, high temperature ceramic processing and electrical characterizations is a plus Excellent analytical and research skills English: fluent You are a good team player, have good communication skills, and are able to work independently.
