We provide our global teams with the resources needed to achieve individual career goals while helping to take science a step beyond by developing solutions for some of the world’s toughest challenges, like protecting the environment, making sure our food is safe or helping find cures for cancer.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Manager, Technical Sourcing Engineering (Biochemicals/Chemicals/Biologicals) at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will provide technical leadership within a cross-functional organization supporting division and category procurement and sourcing strategies. You will lead a team of technical sourcing engineers across EMEA and APAC, driving alternative sourcing, value engineering, productivity projects, and strategic sourcing initiatives. You will oversee program-level initiatives, ensure effective governance and project execution, manage resources and priorities, and communicate project portfolio health and impact to executive leadership. You will also play a key role in resolving supply chain challenges and ensuring continuity across Thermo Fisher Scientific. Experience and QualificationsBachelor's degree in a technical field such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or equivalent required Technical graduate degree preferred 10+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing sciences, technical sourcing, or another technical role, ideally within the biotechnology industry 7+ years of relevant experience may be considered with a Master's degree or higher 10+ years of leadership experience managing people and resources Experience working in a manufacturing or laboratory environment preferred Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, PPI, Six Sigma, or 5S is a plus Project Management and/or PMP certification is a plus Experience supporting multi-site operations and working within complex, matrixed organizations Experience working with Quality organizations and navigating regulatory requirements Experience with quality systems, ISO regulations, and cGMP operations Fluency in English required; additional languages beneficial Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10–50% as required Skills and CompetenciesStrong project management skills and experience using project management tools, software, and practices Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical teams in a cross-functional and matrixed environment Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills Ability to secure resources and drive progress in resource-constrained environments Strong conflict management and interpersonal skills Ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and resolve challenges across sites and functions Strong technical acumen, preferably with a background in biological sciences High emotional intelligence and ability to influence without authority Ability to lead and support cross-functional project teams Strong problem-solving skills involving science and engineering Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at multiple organizational levels Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to lead and support teams remotely Ability to balance immediate business priorities with longer-term strategic goals Strong understanding of processes, documentation, testing, and quality requirements for materials and finished goods Knowledge of established Quality Systems, ISO regulations, and cGMP operations Ability to work flexibly across Thermo Fisher manufacturing sites, supplier locations, and customer environments Ability to develop and maintain collaborative, trust-based relationships across teams Experience with systems and tools such as Per Angusta, PPM Pro, Power BI, and Rever is beneficial Multi-cultural experience preferred Demonstrated “can do” attitude and ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment We OfferCompetitive salary and annual performance bonus Comprehensive health package, including private health, life and accident insurance Wellbeing support for employees and their family members, including mental health consultations, health check-ups, vaccinations, and on-site health initiatives Opportunities for professional growth through internal training, access to Thermo Fisher e-University, and continuous development The opportunity to work in a global, innovation-driven organization and collaborate with international teams Daily benefits such as subsidized meals, gym access, and company transportation An inclusive and supportive culture, with team events and community initiatives 2 additional paid volunteering days per year Additional InformationWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
