A Day in the LifeReporting to the Senior Sales Manager, this role serves as a Surgical Robotics Capital Seller (Business Developer) responsible for driving the adoption of Medtronic's Surgical Robotics platform across Korea. Based in Seoul and covering a nationwide territory, the incumbent will lead strategic capital sales initiatives, identify and develop new business opportunities, secure new system placements, and expand the customer base across key target accounts and healthcare institutions. Working closely with hospital executives, surgeons, OR leadership, procurement, finance, and clinical stakeholders, the role will develop compelling business cases and value propositions that demonstrate the clinical, operational, and economic benefits of Surgical Robotics solutions. The individual will manage complex capital sales opportunities from prospecting and qualification through evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and implementation. Through effective stakeholder engagement, strategic account management, and cross-functional collaboration with Clinical Education, Marketing, Service, Operations, Finance, and Legal teams, this position will drive incremental revenue growth, accelerate market penetration, and support the long-term expansion of Medtronic's Surgical Robotics business across Korea. Primary Responsibilities Promotes and sells Medtronic's Surgical Robotics capital equipment products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets. Develops and manages relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, including hospital executives, physicians, OR leadership, procurement, finance, and clinical teams, to drive Surgical Robotics adoption. Leads and manages the end-to-end capital sales process for Surgical Robotics systems, from identifying and qualifying new opportunities through clinical evaluation, business case development, negotiation, contracting, and system placement. Develops and executes account strategies based on market dynamics, competitive intelligence, customer needs, and opportunities to differentiate Medtronic's Surgical Robotics portfolio. Develops customized business cases, financial models, ROI analyses, and value propositions to demonstrate the clinical and economic benefits of Surgical Robotics solutions. Coordinates cross-functional teams including Clinical Education, Marketing, Service, Operations, Finance, and Legal to ensure successful system implementation, customer onboarding, and long-term account development. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or above. Minimum 10+ years of Medical Device Sales experience, including 2+ years in Capital Equipment Sales Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a complex B2B sales environment. Demonstrated experience managing multi-stakeholder sales processes involving hospital executives, physicians, procurement, finance, and clinical teams. Strong consultative selling and strategic account management skills with the ability to influence senior-level decision makers. Experience developing and presenting business cases, ROI analyses, and value propositions to support high-value purchasing decisions. Strong negotiation, contracting, and closing skills in complex, long sales-cycle opportunities. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate internal stakeholders to drive successful customer acquisition and account growth. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills. Fluent in Korean and business-level English. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Surgical Robotics, Surgical Business, Capital Equipment, Imaging, Navigation, or other high-value medical technology businesses. Existing network and relationships with hospital executives, C-suite stakeholders, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and major healthcare institutions. Experience selling solutions that require clinical adoption, workflow transformation, and organizational change management. Knowledge of healthcare economics, hospital financial planning, and capital budgeting processes. Experience leading regional or national strategic accounts within the healthcare industry. Experience working in a multinational medical device or healthcare company. Familiarity with competitive robotic surgery platforms and the surgical robotics market landscape.
