A Day in the LifeThe Cranial & Spinal Technologies (CST) Operating Unit develops and delivers an integrated ecosystem of spinal implants, navigation and robotic guidance systems, advanced imaging, and data-driven planning tools that support complex spine and cranial procedures. The Surgical Synergy portfolio combines enabling technologies and implants to help clinicians improve surgical workflow, procedural precision, and patient care. This role is responsible for leading commercial activities across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh. The position is field-based and requires regular travel throughout the assigned territory to support customer engagement, business growth, team leadership, and market development initiatives. This people leadership role is responsible for driving sales performance and market development for the Surgical Synergy (Spine) portfolio across a multi-state territory. The individual will lead and develop a team of sales professionals, build strategic customer relationships, expand market adoption of the portfolio, and execute commercial strategies that support sustainable business growth. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve or exceed territory sales objectives. Execute regional sales strategies and business plans to drive portfolio growth across the assigned geography. Build and maintain relationships with key healthcare stakeholders, decision-makers, and customer accounts. Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities while expanding existing customer partnerships. Partner with application specialists and cross-functional teams to support customer education, clinical adoption, and commercial execution. Monitor market dynamics, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform business planning and territory strategy. Manage inventory, consignments, loaner assets, forecasting, and reporting activities in accordance with company requirements. Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) practices. Required Knowledge and Experience: High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 9+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences; OR Associate’s Degree and 7+ years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience. Experience leading and managing a sales team, including supervision and development of experienced sales professionals and/or first-line supervisors. Experience selling capital equipment, medical devices, or clinically focused solutions within a healthcare environment. Experience developing and executing territory or regional business plans to achieve commercial objectives. Ability to travel regularly throughout Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh. Preferred Qualifications Experience within Spine, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Trauma, or Operating Room (O.R.) environments. Demonstrated success selling concept-based therapies, enabling technologies, or complex healthcare solutions. Track record of exceeding sales targets and managing multi-level stakeholder relationships within hospital systems. Experience with spinal implants, navigation systems, robotic-assisted surgery platforms, or related procedural technologies. Experience analysing market trends, competitive activity, and commercial performance data to support business growth.
