A Day in the LifeThis position is based in Hyderabad, India and supports cross-functional stakeholders across Research & Development (R&D), Quality, and site leadership. The role plays a key part in enabling strategic growth through financial planning, business partnering, capital investment analysis, and performance management while driving process improvements through automation and advanced analytics. The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for leading financial planning and analysis activities, providing strategic business partnering support, and delivering actionable insights that drive business performance. This role oversees forecasting, financial modelling, performance reviews, investment analysis, and process improvement initiatives while collaborating with senior leaders to support growth, operational excellence, and informed decision-making.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Responsible for financial planning, enabling strategic growth in alignment with the long-term vision of MEIC. Performs and analyzes financial modelling, trends, and studies subjects such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital, cash flow, investments, cost against budget, variance analysis, forecasting, financial planning, and expense comparisons through analysis of profit and loss statements. Partners with R&D, Quality, and business leaders to provide financial insights, performance analysis, and recommendations that support operational and strategic decisions. Leads periodic reviews (monthly/quarterly/yearly) with R&D and Quality Leaders, including preparation of strategic plans and the annual operating plan. Routinely communicates financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecast, using appropriate metrics. Suggests trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implications. Leads scenario modelling efforts for the development and growth of the Site. Develops and executes processes to allow for routine analytical reviews of financial and operational performance, leveraging business unit analytical resources and tools. Evaluates Capex decisions and provides guidance to and influences senior leadership. Financial Modelling: Builds financial models to support scenario analysis and decision-making processes. Cost Optimization: Identifies opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements to enhance the overall financial performance of sales operations. Collaborative Approach: Works closely with sales teams, finance departments, and other stakeholders to align financial goals with sales objectives and drive business success. Supports financial governance by ensuring adherence to finance policies, controls, reporting standards, and data integrity requirements across planning, forecasting, and performance management processes. Drives process simplification, automation, and digital finance initiatives through advanced analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and reporting enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making. Ad Hoc Analysis: Conducts ad hoc financial analysis as required to support business projects, initiatives, and decision-making processes. Mentors, develops, and coaches the team on meeting/exceeding performance expectations and defined objectives, providing leadership to team members and ensuring the prioritization of strategic and department-level initiatives. DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS: Strong analytical and logical skills. Manages a large team that would typically consist of both experienced professionals and managers. Ability to manage large volumes of data and simplify it through the preparation of actionable dashboards. Ability to manage several projects or tasks and complete them in a timely manner. Ability to independently navigate ambiguous situations and deliver tangible impact for the business. Exercises considerable latitude in determining deliverables of assignments, with limited oversight from the manager. Communicates with internal and external customers concerning ongoing operations, programs, or processes. Provides expertise to fellow colleagues in team deliverables and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Implements solutions to problems. Stakeholder Management: Works with different stakeholders to achieve business goals and collaborates with senior leadership teams in the decision-making process. Innovation: Identifies areas for simplification and automation. Required Knowledge and Experience: Chartered Accountant (CA) or full-time MBA from a reputed institution, with 12–16 years of progressive experience in finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting, or business finance within a multinational organization. Experience leading financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and management reporting processes. Experience partnering with senior business leaders to support strategic decision-making and business performance management. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and analysis of large and complex datasets. Experience developing and maintaining financial reporting, forecasting, and performance measurement frameworks. Preferred Qualifications Experience within the healthcare, medical technology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry. Experience supporting Research & Development (R&D), Quality, or technical functions through finance business partnering activities. Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and dashboard development for financial and operational reporting. Experience evaluating capital investment proposals, return on investment analyses, and long-range planning initiatives. Experience leading finance transformation, process automation, or digital finance initiatives leveraging advanced analytics and reporting tools.
