I. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSystem Architecture & Product Definition Collaborate with Product Management to translate product requirements into system-level requirements and specifications. Develop and maintain system architecture, including functional decomposition, subsystem allocation, and technical roadmaps. Define system interfaces, input/output requirements, operational workflows, and performance parameters to ensure compatibility among hardware, software, firmware, optical, and mechanical subsystems. Lead technical feasibility studies and concept evaluations, identifying optimal technical solutions for product realization. Requirements Management Own and maintain system requirements throughout the product development lifecycle. Establish and maintain traceability from product requirements to system requirements, subsystem requirements, verification, and validation activities. Manage requirement changes and assess technical impact across the system. System Integration & Technical Leadership Lead multidisciplinary system development activities from concept through design, integration, verification, validation, and product release. Drive technical alignment across engineering disciplines and global development teams. Coordinate system integration activities and resolve technical conflicts between subsystems. Participate in and lead technical reviews, design reviews, and architecture reviews. Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams to improve overall system maturity. Risk Management & Compliance Define and maintain system-level risk management strategies. Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks throughout the product lifecycle. Support risk analysis activities such as FMEA, hazard analysis, and design reviews. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and quality system requirements. Apply Design Control requirements throughout product development activities. Verification & Validation Define system verification and validation strategies. Work with team to define system/module-level test plans, acceptance criteria, and verification methodologies. Review and approve verification, validation, and integration test reports. Ensure the final product demonstrates compliance with functional, performance, regulatory, and product requirements. Product Development Governance Lead system-level decisions during milestone reviews. Approve readiness for prototype builds, alpha builds, design freeze, and release milestones. Support manufacturing transfer, sustaining engineering, and product lifecycle activities. Exercise sound engineering judgment and clearly communicate technical decisions and their rationale. II. REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITIONProfessional ExperienceBachelor's or Master's degree with significant experience in multidisciplinary product development. Minimum 8 years of engineering experience in new product development, minimum 3 years of experience in Life Sciences, Industry Devices, Scientific Instruments, Imaging Systems, or related industries. Demonstrated experience leading complex system development projects involving multiple engineering disciplines. Broad technical knowledge spanning:Systems Engineering Mechanical Engineering Optical Engineering Electrical/Electronics Engineering Software/Firmware Engineering Experience with:System architecture development Requirements engineering Risk management System integration Design reviews Verification and validation Ability to serve as technical lead or feature lead for product development projects. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. The following skills are optional & would be added advantage. Experience with optical systems, imaging systems, microscopy products. Experience with regulated product development environments. Experience working within global, cross-functional engineering organizations. Familiarity with FMEA, risk management, and reliability engineering methodologies. b) Education • BS. or Ms degree in Electronics, Automation, Precision Instruments, Mechatronics, photoelectronics or similar major. c) Language Fluent English (both written and spoken) Mandarin Join our winning team today.
