We strive to create, champion and maintain a global workplace where individuals’ unique contributions are valued and drive innovative solutions to meet the needs of our patients, care partners, families and employees. Our people are compassionate, candid, and purposeful, and our business is innovative and rooted in science. We believe that being proudly authentic and determined to be our best is essential to fulfilling our purpose. Yes, our work is incredibly serious and impactful, but we have big ambitions, bring a ton of care to pursuing them, and have a lot of fun while doing so. Does this inspire you and feel like a fit? Then we would love to have you join us! The Role How do you help a busy research organization stay organized, share information, and welcome new colleagues? Behind the science, Business Support teams help bring people and practical arrangements together. As a Business Support intern at Genmab, you will learn how administrative and organizational support contributes to the work of our Discovery and research departments. Working alongside experienced colleagues and under the guidance of the Manager Business Support, you will develop your planning, communication, and coordination skills in an international biotech environment. Your internship will centre on a practical improvement project within Business Support. Together with your supervisor, you will choose a topic that connects your learning objectives and study requirements with an opportunity identified by the team. For example, you could explore how to make meeting preparation more consistent, improve practical onboarding information, or develop a useful planning guide for team events. You will investigate the current approach, gather input from colleagues, and develop and test a practical improvement. At the end of your internship, you will present what you have learned, your proposed solution, and recommendations for the team. Alongside your project, you will gain supervised experience in selected Business Support activities. These will help you understand the team’s work and practise your skills, with regular feedback and responsibilities that develop as you learn. Responsibilities Work with your supervisor to define your project, learning objectives, and a realistic plan for the internship. Explore a selected Business Support process, speak with colleagues about their needs, and identify opportunities for improvement. Develop and test a practical solution, such as a checklist, template, planning guide, or clearer way of sharing information. Gain experience in calendar coordination and meeting preparation, learning how to manage requests and communicate with different stakeholders. Learn about business travel and expense processes by supporting selected arrangements under guidance. Practise creating clear documents, presentations, and worksheets using Microsoft Office. Support selected onboarding activities or the preparation of a team meeting or event, with coaching from a Business Support colleague. Discuss your progress and learning with your supervisor, document your project, and present your findings and recommendations to the team. Requirements Currently enrolled in a relevant study programme, such as Business Administration, Office Management, Management Support, or a related field, and able to remain enrolled throughout the internship. An interest in learning how Business Support operates within an international research organization. Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, and a willingness to develop these skills. Good spoken and written communication skills in Dutch and English (English is Genmab's primary language). An organized approach, attention to detail, and an interest in learning how to manage different tasks and priorities. Curiosity about how processes work and a willingness to ask questions and suggest improvements. Enjoy working with others, take feedback on board, and seek guidance when needed.
