1. Performance Tester – JMeter & LoadRunner Customer: Maybank Location: Malaysia Role: Performance Tester Employment/Deployment: Local hire preferred Yrs of Exp -5 to 7 years Role Summary We are looking for an experienced Performance Tester to support Maybank applications by planning, executing, analyzing, and reporting performance and load testing. The candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Apache JMeter and OpenText LoadRunner , with the ability to identify performance bottlenecks and work closely with application, infrastructure, database, and engineering teams. Maybank delivery documentation also includes Performance Test Support alongside SIT/UAT activities, with expectations around defect troubleshooting, testing, risk/issue management and timely delivery Key Responsibilities Understand application architecture, business flows and non-functional requirements. Prepare performance test strategy, test plan, scenarios and workload models . Develop and maintain performance test scripts using: Apache JMeter OpenText LoadRunner Perform: Load Testing Stress Testing Endurance/Soak Testing Volume Testing Scalability Testing Baseline/Benchmark Testing Execute tests covering critical business transactions and APIs. Analyze performance indicators including: Response time Throughput/TPS Concurrent users Error rates CPU and memory utilization Database/application bottlenecks Identify bottlenecks across application, middleware, database and infrastructure layers. Perform root-cause analysis in collaboration with development and infrastructure teams. Record and track performance defects through Jira or the applicable defect-management system. Prepare performance test execution reports and communicate observations, risks and recommendations to stakeholders. Support defect retesting and performance regression testing. Participate in SIT/UAT and release-readiness activities where required. Maintain performance scripts, test data and testing documentation. Skill Requirements Mandatory Skills Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter . Strong hands-on experience with LoadRunner . Good understanding of performance testing concepts, methodology and workload modelling. Experience in testing Web and REST API-based applications . Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, APIs and web application architecture. Ability to analyze test results and identify performance bottlenecks. Experience with performance monitoring and diagnostic techniques. Experience with Jira or similar defect-management tools. Good SQL/database knowledge for troubleshooting and validation. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Skills Experience working in Banking / Financial Services environments. Exposure to microservices and cloud-based application architectures. Exposure to CI/CD-integrated performance testing. Experience working with Agile/Scrum delivery teams. Understanding of application and infrastructure monitoring tools.
