Junior Tester (2-4 Years) Position Data & Semantic Layer Tester Role Summary We are seeking a motivated Data Tester to support validation activities across data ingestion, data transformation, semantic layer, and reporting solutions. The individual will be responsible for executing test cases, performing data validation, and ensuring data quality across the analytics platform. Key Responsibilities Data Validation Perform source-to-target data validation. Validate data movement across ingestion, transformation, and reporting layers. Execute SQL queries to verify data accuracy and completeness. Identify and document data discrepancies. ETL / ELT Testing Validate data transformations and business rules. Verify record counts, duplicates, null values, and data mappings. Support regression testing during releases. Semantic Layer Testing Validate dimensions, attributes, and measures. Verify business-friendly data representations. Test simple KPI calculations and aggregations. BI Testing Validate reports and dashboards. Verify filters, drill-downs, and report outputs. Compare report results with backend data. Defect Management Log defects with appropriate supporting evidence. Retest fixes and verify resolutions. Maintain test execution documentation. Required Skills SQL (Intermediate) ETL/Data Testing Basic Data Warehouse Concepts Test Case Preparation and Execution Defect Tracking Tools (JIRA/Azure DevOps) Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills Preferred Skills Exposure to Power BI or other BI tools Basic Python knowledge Healthcare domain exposure Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
