Role Purpose The Buyer is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that support Fujitsu's business objectives. The role works closely with business stakeholders, suppliers, and procurement colleagues to deliver commercial value, mitigate risk, and support business growth. The successful candidate will have strong procurement expertise, negotiation capabilities, and stakeholder management skills, with a particular focus on strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier management, cost optimization, and business partnering. This role acts as a trusted advisor to the business, driving procurement best practices, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and supporting procurement transformation initiatives across the region. Key Accountabilities: Strategic Procurement Develop, deploy, and monitor procurement strategies aligned with business requirements and regional procurement objectives. Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and procurement projects across key spend categories. Identify opportunities for value creation, cost optimization, and process improvement. Supplier Management Build and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers. Support supplier performance management, contract governance, and risk mitigation activities. Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance, innovation, sustainability, and commercial outcomes. Commercial Negotiation Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal commercial, contractual, and operational outcomes. Support contract review and negotiation activities in collaboration with Legal and business stakeholders. Ensure Fujitsu's commercial interests are protected while maintaining positive supplier relationships. Stakeholder Management Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders across business units and functions. Act as the primary procurement contact for assigned business areas in Spain. Provide procurement guidance and consultancy to stakeholders throughout the sourcing and contract lifecycle. Procurement Operations & Compliance Ensure adherence to procurement policies, governance requirements, and responsible procurement principles. Support the continuous improvement of procurement processes and procurement digitalization initiatives. Promote compliance with sustainability, ESG, supplier diversity, and risk management requirements. Procurement Transformation Support regional and global procurement transformation initiatives. Contribute to process harmonisation, efficiency improvements, and adoption of best procurement practices. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Financial Delivery of annual savings and value creation targets. Successful execution of sourcing and negotiation initiatives. Contribution to procurement performance objectives. Stakeholder Positive stakeholder feedback and engagement. Effective business partnering across assigned business functions. Procurement involvement in key strategic business decisions. Supplier Supplier performance and relationship improvements. Effective supplier risk management. Increased value delivered through strategic supplier partnerships. Process Compliance with procurement policies and governance. Successful completion of procurement projects and sourcing initiatives. Continuous improvement of procurement processes and ways of working. Experience & Skills Required Essential Significant experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Category Management. Proven track record of leading commercial and contract negotiations. Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills. Experience managing suppliers and commercial relationships. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Fluent Spanish and English. Preferred Experience within the IT, Technology, Services, or Telecommunications sectors. Knowledge of procurement systems (SAP, Ariba, Coupa or similar). Experience working in international and matrix organizations. Understanding of ESG and Responsible Procurement practices.
