Job description

Work Your Magic with us! Ready to explore, break barriers, and discover more? We know you’ve got big plans – so do we! Our colleagues across the globe love innovating with science and technology to enrich people’s lives with our solutions in Healthcare, Life Science, and Electronics. Together, we dream big and are passionate about caring for our rich mix of people, customers, patients, and planet. That's why we are always looking for curious minds that see themselves imagining the unimaginable with us. Your Role: Geopolitical forces are reshaping markets, supply chains, technology access, and the conditions under which global companies operate, and this role sits at the center of that challenge. As Director, Strategic Analysis & Geopolitics, you will lead enterprise level geopolitical intelligence and strategic analysis, translating complex global developments into clear judgements, actionable scenarios, and decision ready advice for senior leaders across three distinct business sectors. Reporting to the Vice President, Geopolitical Intelligence & Policy, you will serve as the team's principal generalist on global geopolitics, owning cross cutting assessments of major power dynamics, geoeconomic shifts, and political security developments with priority focus on the US, China, the EU, and other strategically significant markets. You will connect structural change in the external environment to the organization’s ability to operate, invest, partner, innovate, and grow, identifying both risks and opportunities before they materially affect business decisions. In this role, you will lead scenario-based outlooks, coordinate rapid response analysis on major geopolitical events, and advise senior leaders on options, tradeoffs, and recommended actions. You will build trusted networks across business sectors, corporate functions including strategy, legal, supply chain, and finance, as well as externally across government, academia, think tanks, and specialist advisory communities. You will also mentor colleagues, raise analytical standards, and help build a connected, high performing function. Who You Are: You bring significant professional experience in geopolitical analysis, strategic intelligence, international affairs, government, diplomacy, public policy, or corporate strategy, with demonstrated expertise in major power relations and the global operating environment, including strong knowledge of the US, China, and the EU. You have a proven track record of producing high-quality strategic assessments, scenarios, and executive level advice on complex, fast moving issues, with the ability to distinguish structural shifts from short term events. You possess strong business acumen and understand how a diversified science and technology company creates value, makes decisions, and operates across markets; experience in healthcare, life science, electronics, semiconductors, or another regulated and technology intensive industry is strongly preferred. You translate complexity into clear judgements, implications, options, and recommendations for senior leaders, bringing a rigorous, evidence-based point of view while making uncertainty and critical assumptions explicit. You have excellent relationship building and influencing skills, with a track record of creating effective internal and external networks across functions, seniority levels, cultures, and geographies. You are collaborative, intellectually curious, and willing to challenge assumptions constructively; you are comfortable working with ambiguity, incomplete information, and high-stakes issues while maintaining analytical rigor and discretion. You communicate with excellence in written and verbal English; proficiency in additional languages relevant to major markets is an advantage. What we offer: We are curious minds that come from a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences. We believe that this variety drives excellence and innovation, strengthening our ability to lead in science and technology. We are committed to creating access and opportunities for all to develop and grow at your own pace. Join us in building a culture of inclusion and belonging that impacts millions and empowers everyone to work their magic and champion human progress! Apply now and become a part of a team that is dedicated to Sparking Discovery and Elevating Humanity!
