About the role: This role operates within the company’s Global Business Services organization to provide high quality accountancy expertise and services to various client businesses within Boston Scientific Corporation. This role performs a variety of medium to complex duties in fixed assets such as analyzing accounts, booking necessary journal entries, internal reporting, performing the monthly financial close, monitoring SOX/internal control requirements, and support audits. This role measures performance against key performance indicators and metrics and continually identifies ways to improve and streamline processes. What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Industrial Engineering. 1 to 2 years relevant experience English level: 80% or above. Fixed Asset Experience a plus SAP experience a plus Open to working across global time zones Strong communication skills Detail oriented Ability to work independently Inquisitive and takes an active interest in opportunities to improve the efficiency of work Experience working in shared service environment a plus Key Responsibilities include: Performs fixed asset processes and acts as liaison with several supported sites Compiles and analyzes Fixed Asset information through preparation of reports and general ledger journal entries. Assures financial accuracy for all supported sites and supports all legal entity closings on a monthly basis Takes an active interest in seeking opportunities for continuous improvement, standardizing processes across multiple legal entities. Establishes and communicates accounting processes by maintaining a thorough understanding of SOX controls, GAAP, and new accounting guidance as appropriate. Works to deliver upon key performance metrics and service levels agreed with business partners and management.
