The Payroll Specialist at McKesson Corporation will be responsible for accurately and timely processing payroll for a large employee base, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Job Responsibilities: * Process multi-state payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees, including bonuses, commissions, and other pay elements. * Review and verify timekeeping records, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and labor laws. * Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments. * Reconcile payroll data and resolve any discrepancies or issues. * Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and regulatory agencies. * Assist with year-end payroll processing, including W-2 generation and reconciliation. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records. * Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and time off. * Collaborate with HR, Benefits, and Accounting departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes. * Stay informed of changes in payroll tax laws and regulations. * Participate in payroll system upgrades and testing as needed. Job Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. * 3+ years of experience in payroll processing for a large organization. * Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Workday, ADP, Ultimate Software). * Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations. * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus. This position is largely a remote, 1-2 times a month in office. Targeting mid-range of the posted pay range. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
