Job description

Strategy: Build and maintain technical understanding of the products, categories purchased, and supplier capabilities. Partner with Molex design teams throughout Product Development Process (PDP) to drive the lowest total cost of the BOM and achieve a Flawless Launch Market strategy. Leadership: Align resources with requirements and opportunities in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, and the Supply Base. New Product Launch: Lead the New Product Development Sourcing activity to ensure new products launch on schedule Pricing & Cost: Bring “Design to Value” (manufacturing, quality, cost, etc.) viewpoint to Product Design Team. Negotiate terms as required and in accordance with internal policies & company guiding principles. Conduct should-cost and make vs. buy analyses to support sourcing decisions. Supply Base Development & Management: Establish long-term supplier relationships with Preferred Suppliers. Drive supplier consolidation. Secure supply. Assess risk and lead to mitigation efforts. Implement Supply Agreements and Inventory management agreements. Drive IT integration with key suppliers to improve efficiency and communication. Supplier Performance: Communicate the supplier’s performance by using the Supplier Scorecard. Achieve year-on-year performance improvements. required to improve lead time and cost. Compliance: Conduct all affairs with integrity. Ensure that the Supply Base and the Molex Procurement team operate within the framework of regulatory and legal requirements. This includes but is not limited to compliance with Safety, Environmental, SOX, Tax, Customs and Ethical requirements. Gain understanding and acceptance of respective documents, such as the Molex Code of Conduct, Molex Terms and Conditions, and cover any other requirements through Supply Agreements. Coordinate efforts with other Divisions to ensure consistency with common suppliers and commodities. Best Practices: Promote the implementation of “best practices” as it relates to Procurement and Supply Chain Management. Meet periodically with other Procurement teams across Divisions to share best practices, supplier information, etc. Others Performs other related duties as assigned by management. SCOPE: · This is part of CCS PSBU/MSBU DG Sourcing team and leads the NPD execution process. EDUCATION: REQUIRED: · Bachelor’s degree PREFERRED: · Master’s degree WORK EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED: · Over 5 years of experience in Procurement Sourcing. PREFERRED: · Over 5 years of experience in NPD Sourcing. SKILLS & ABILITIES: REQUIRED: · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Good command of English in terms of reading and writing, speaking and listening skills. · Demonstrated experience in driving cross functional collaboration across business units. · Strong analytical, problem-solving skills. · Demonstrated experience in negotiating with suppliers. · Self-driven and quick learner. Sense of urgency, high energy, and self-motivation. · Good at presentation (PPT skill – preparation and presenting.) PREFERRED: · Self-motivated with clear and positive mindset.
